Parmigiani Fleurier x Revolution Tonda PF Micro-Rotor "Serenissima Due"
Wei's first encounter with the PF elicited a response that he had previously not associated with Parmigiani Fleurier — and that was unadulterated, uncut, never stepped on, 100-percent pure, unbridled desire. It is such a brilliant design — dynamically charged with enthralling minute nuances, from the miniature guilloché pattern on the dial to the micro-fluting on the platinum bezel, the hand polishing on the interior edges of the lugs that face the case, and the contrast between the tapering polished sections that flow into the sublimely brushed bracelet. When he finally got to try it on, he was hooked immediately. The PF was so damn appealing on the wrist. At 40mm in diameter and with a thickness of just 7.8mm, it creates a wonderful dynamic tension between a strong wrist presence counterpointed by a lithe Brâncuși-like elegance that makes it a pleasure to wear.
This shade of salmon was first introduced in our sold-out collaborative release with the brand in 2022. Christened 'Serenissima', or 'Serenity' in English, the shade "recalls Botticelli painting the first light rising over the Gulf of Venice, at the north of the Adriatic Sea," as Wei muses. In celebration of Revolution's 20th anniversary, we looked into our archives and brought back the best of Revolution's limited-editions, this time with a twist: the Revolution star peeking out of the date window in place of '20'. It's harmoniously rendered in monochrome and tastefully set against a color-matched date wheel. The Revolution logo is likewise cast in the platinum micro-rotor of the wonderfully finished caliber PF703, which elegantly measures just 3.07mm thin.
Indeed, it is the perfect timepiece to have in that, thanks to its extraordinary ergonomics, it is blissful to wear. From a design perspective, it is representative of an all-new sports chic icon — and with this colored dial, a beacon of joy, energy and triumph. In other words, it is dopeness personified.

Sports Chic Elegance
At 7.8mm in thickness and 40mm in diameter, the watch embodies an understated elegance. There is the beautiful dynamic tension that you get between the exquisite lithe slimness of the watch and its relatively bold presence on the wrist; one that slips discreetly under a cuff when needed, or that feels at home on the poolside, thanks to 100m of water resistance.
Sheer ergonomic brillance
There is something you can do with a Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF that you can’t do with any other integrated bracelet, sports chic watch on the market: You can undo its deployant buckle and let the bracelet dangle in an open position. You can then rotate your wrist 90 degrees back and forth. Miraculously, the watch stays exactly in place without shifting or sliding off. One major part of the watch’s magic is the way in which the lugs are flared and curved, meaning that they are positioned at the very extremity of the watch head and they then flow perfectly into the bracelet to create a seamless compound curve that just hugs the wrist.
Minute details
The signature grain d’orge guilloché is so small that it turns invisible in certain light. Similarly, the fluting on the platinum bezel is so minute that it almost begs to be examined under a loupe. When viewed with the naked eye, the bevy of details create an visual rush and rewards viewing under a loupe.
Magnificent micro-rotor movement
Powering the "Serenissima Due" is the calibre PF703; one of Parmigiani Fleurier's signature movements. At just 3.07mm slim, this ultra-thinness is one of the main reasons the Tonda embodies such elegant proportions and outstanding ergonomics. The platinum micro-rotor features the Revolution logo, in celebration of our 20th anniversary, alongside the 'grain d'orge' guilloché that mirrors the pattern found on the dial. The rest of the movement is also wonderfully finished; the bridges feature Cotes de Geneve finishing, perlage on the baseplate and bevelling even on the slightest of angles. It's certainly amoung the most refined calibres found in any sports watch today.
