Revolution Sept 2026
The September issue of Revolution US includes new launches, interviews, history and a major section on independent watchmaking.
George Daniels would have been 100 this year, and we mark the anniversary with a look at his life, his watches and the enormous influence he had on the generations that followed. François-Paul Journe, Philippe Dufour, Franck Muller, Daniel Roth and Denis Flageollet are among the names we revisit, alongside others who helped define independent watchmaking over the past four decades.
We also look at the latest generation of independents, the young watchmakers and new brands now making their mark, and how different their world is from the one Daniels knew when he was starting out.
On the cover is the new Glashütte Original 70s, incorporated into an original artwork created for Revolution by collector and artist Michael Moebius. Inside, we look at the new collection, Moebius’s connection to the brand and the history of Glashütte that sits behind the 70s line.
Elsewhere, Jeff Koons discusses his new collaboration with Hublot, while the new Blancpain Lady B gives us the opportunity to revisit Betty Fiechter, who took control of Blancpain in 1933 and remains one of the most important, although still shockingly undercelebrated, figures in watchmaking history.
