Lederer CIC 39 "Eddy Jaquet & Yann Von Kaenel' for Revolution
Traditional Master Craftmen Meets Master Watchmaker
The Lederer × Revolution Central Impulse Chronometer (CIC) 39 “Eddy Jaquet & Yann von Kaenel” marks the first time a Lederer timepiece features a dial crafted not by one, but by two master artisans. The concept behind this limited edition was clear from the beginning: to create a dial whose artistry could stand alongside—and meaningfully complement—the extraordinary mechanical architecture of the CIC 39. (Click here to read article).
To achieve this, Lederer and Revolution enlisted two of the most revered craftsmen working today.
Eddy Jaquet, the legendary master engraver, is celebrated for his narrative-driven engraving style, most famously demonstrated in the MB&F × Eddy Jaquet LM Split Escapement Jules Verne series.
Alongside him is Yann von Kaenel, one of the greatest guilloché artists of his generation and the creative force behind the entirely new guilloché language developed for the Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 collection.
On this special edition, Yann von Kaenel applies his signature rose-engine guilloché to the main dial, complemented by a distinct vertical guilloché pattern on the small seconds subdial. The interplay between these two patterns creates an optical effect, textured, dynamic, and deeply refined. All of these elements demonstrates complexity achieved through restraint.
The dial is then elevated further by Eddy Jaquet’s hand-engraved sector track, executed using a delicate scratched-engraving technique. The result is a sophisticated three-tone monochrome dial, with shades of silver and metal that come alive under changing light. In motion, the details shimmer subtly, revealing layers of craftsmanship that are impossible to appreciate at a single glance.
This edition stands as the pinnacle of monochrome refinement, a study in restraint, balance, and brilliance, where two master crafts converge to create a dial worthy of the movement it surrounds.

DOUBLES OF EVERYTHING
The Lederer x Revolution CIC 39 "Eddy Jaquet & Yann von Kaenel" stands as a bridge between three centuries of horological science. Drawing inspiration from masters such as Abraham-Louis Breguet and George Daniels, Bernhard Lederer brings to life the first fully functional Dual Detent Escapement ever integrated into a wristwatch. Though refined in its proportions, the CIC 39 mm remains uncompromising in technical ambition, elegant on the outside and radically innovative within. At its core lies Lederer’s patented Dual Detent Escapement, paired with two remontoirs d’égalité. The movement comprises 212 hand-finished components, all visible through the open caseback, where twin gear trains and constant-force mechanisms reveal their architectural symmetry. Every element is polished, bevelled, and decorated by hand, expressing a level of precision and craft rarely seen in contemporary watchmaking.
DESIGNED FOR UNMATCHED PRECISION
The remontoir system of the Lederer x Revolution CIC 39 "Eddy Jaquet & Yann von Kaenel" was meticulously engineered in a way that departs from classical watchmaking conventions, allowing Lederer to reduce the overall movement diameter while simultaneously enhancing mechanical performance. Specifically, the release mechanism is positioned on the third-wheel axis, a decision that minimizes the energy required to operate the dual remontoir d’égalité system. By reducing internal friction, the mechanism runs with exceptional smoothness and reliability. To achieve an optimally constant delivery of energy, Lederer offset the two 15-second remontoirs by 7.5 seconds. This creates a superposition of their force curves, resulting in near-perfect uniformity of energy transmission. The outcome is remarkable stability in balance amplitude—an achievement that elevates both precision and reliability. The new limited edition demonstrates how innovative engineering can coexist harmoniously with traditional craftsmanship, advancing horology while honoring its roots.
SUPERB WEARABILITY WITH REMARKABLE ARCHITECTURE
The Lederer × Revolution CIC 39 “Eddy Jaquet & Yann von Kaenel” is housed in a 39mm 904L stainless-steel case, measuring just 10.75mm in thickness. Refined, elegant, and exceptionally comfortable, it wears effortlessly on the wrist—an impressive achievement given the complexity it contains. The architectural depth of the CIC 39 movement is extraordinary. Its layered construction, vibrant wheel tones, and meticulously finished bridges create a visual harmony that feels both technical and artistic. The full sapphire caseback is a defining Lederer signature, allowing the owner to admire the movement from the side with uninterrupted clarity—something rarely seen in high horology. This edition demonstrates how superb wearability can coexist with serious technical ambition. It is a rare combination in contemporary haute horlogerie, where complexity and comfort seldom meet so gracefully.
