Welcome to the Spring issue of Revolution magazine in which we present some of the best watches that launched in the first quarter of 2025, including those that made their debut at LVMH Watch Week in January.

Despite predictions of a gloomy year for the industry, the watches that we have seen so far this year have proved to be dynamic, innovative and as boundary pushing as any that have come before them.

Our cover watch celebrates Bvlgari’s first attempt to take its signature women’s Serpenti into the masculine arena, a move that not only breaks new ground, but also celebrates the idea of collaboration thanks to Bvlgari’s partnership with MB&F on the execution of the project.

On the technical side, we head to Japan for the first of a three-part tour of Grand Seiko’s manufacturing facilities, we dissect the heart of watchmaking in an article that breaks down gear design, and we take a deep dive into Audemars Piguet’s new perpetual calendar movement, Caliber 7138, which enables all QP functions to be set via the crown.

And as we showcase the new, we also take a look back at the past with some of the watch models that have remained in continuous production for decades, as well as previewing a new “Great Gatsby” travelling exhibition that comes to New York City this May and highlights some of the greatest timepieces from the Jazz Age.
