Christiaan van der Klaauw × Revolution Planetarium Prometheus
Our first collaboration with Christiaan van der Klaauw is a spectacular rendition of its famed Planeterium watch, which holds bragging rights as the world's smallest mechanical planeterium. It is, for the first time, housed in a fully polished titanium case and planets illuminated with Super-LumiNova. The Aventurine dial sparkles as light is cast over, offering a stunning visual depth that evokes the star-studded night sky. Flip over and you'll find the dazzling CvdK calibre, which is produced and assembled in-house at the brand's atelier in Naarden, The Netherlands, offering a remarkable level of hand-finishing and visual density that rewards closer inspection through the exhibition caseback.
Delivery will commence between end-October to end-December.

All That Glitters in the Night Sky
To evoke a star-studded night sky, the dial is made from aventurine glass, which contains metallic inclusions to achieve the glittery effect. Rhodium-plated roman indexes are applied from nine to three o’clock with the brand’s sun logo marking noon. At the top of the dial is a concentric calendar display where the date and month are indicated by co-axial hands.
Miniaturization of the Cosmos
The marvelous miniature planetarium that displays the orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn around the Sun in real time. The spheres in the Planetarium Prometheus are made of stainless steel that have been hand painted with Super-LumiNova, with a green luminous sphere in the center, representing the Sun. The relative sizes of the simulated planets are proportional to their actual sizes in the solar system, and their motions are depicted in real time. The planterium module is entirely produced in-house at the brand’s workshop in Naarden in The Netherlands.
Mechanical Marvel
The Planeterium Prometheus features Christiaan van der Klaauw's proprietary movement, which has been produced, finished and assembled in-house. The hand-finished calibre features remarkable details like frosted star patterns on the bridge, adorned with raised stars, circular graining on each star and perlage finishing on the baseplate. Look closely, and you'll notice that the extended finger bridge is tipped by a star to form a stylized depiction of a shooting star. The details you discover with each repeated inspection are truly out of this world.
Space-age Lightweight
For the first time, the brand's Planterium watch is an encased in a fully polished Grade 5 titanium case measuring 40mm x 14mm. While it appears thick yet compact on paper, its unusual height-to-width ratio can hardly be felt on the wrist due to its broad, solid lugs and the lightness of titanium.
