The Vulcain Cricket is a watch with a long, prestigious (and presidential) history. It's the little alarm watch with a big heart, with the most recent versions being loving homages to the classic models from the 1950s, right down to the period-correct 36mm case size and the manually winding mechanical alarm, the buzzing of which gives the Cricket its name.

Of course, there's one element of this watch immediately lets people know that it is something different. That, of course, is the second hand. Or rather the seconde/seconde/ hand.

This colorful touch is both witty wordplay and a loving homage to one of the most beloved characters in all of science fiction, the logical Vulcan (not Vulcain), Mr. Spock.

The second hand bears at its center a hand held out in the iconic salute. More than that, we have made four different colors, inspired by the different colors of Star Trek uniform. This 36mm model comes in gold and green, while the 39mm versions are offered in blue and red.

Each version is limited to only 25 pieces and wearing it is a continual reminder to 'live long and prosper.'

The 36mm case is amde from polished 316L steel, with a double domed sapphire crystal and 50 meters of water resistance, which means this Cricket is made for modern life.

Ring My Bell

In an ear of smartphones, mechanical alarms are incredubly charming. The alarm is set via the long pointer hand and is powered by a dedicated barrel. It is also surprisingly loud.

Each watch comes with two straps. A black calfskin strap with a crocodile print and a second strap in dark yellow or green, to match the hand on the dial.
