Introducing the Armin Strom × Revolution Dual Time GMT Resonance “Tremblage”.(Click here to read article)
Created to mark Revolution’s 20th anniversary, this exceptional timepiece is the result of a close collaboration with Armin Strom’s co-founders, Serge Michel and Claude Greisler. Based on the groundbreaking Mirrored Force Resonance, the Dual Time GMT Resonance introduces a second time zone in a newly redesigned 39mm steel case, measuring just 9.05mm thick.
At the heart of the watch is Armin Strom’s patented clutch system, which links two balance wheels to achieve perfect synchronicity. This innovation enhances precision and shock recovery in a way no traditional resonance system has before.
The watch features two solid, untreated gold subdials, each individually hand-engraved by master artisan Juliane Gfeller, making every piece unique. A frosted gold baseplate evokes an 18th-century aesthetic, while the spéculaire (black-polished) bridges and clutch showcase meticulous hand finishing.
A true kinetic sculpture, the Dual Time GMT Resonance stands as one of Armin Strom’s most technically and artistically accomplished timepieces to date.
Limited to just five pieces worldwide and priced at CHF 100,000 (excluding VAT), the “Tremblage” stands as a tribute to innovation, heritage, and the irreplaceable value of human craft.
Delivery will commence in the last quarter of 2025.

SYMPHONY OF BALANCE
Armin Strom’s patented clutch is a groundbreaking innovation in mechanical watchmaking, designed to connect the studs of two hairsprings positioned in opposing directions. This ingenious system ensures that the balance wheels expand and contract in perfect synchronicity, significantly enhancing precision and allowing the movement to recover rapidly from shocks. Rather than forcing resonance, the clutch links the hairsprings through vibration, enabling both balances to oscillate at exactly the same rate. Acting as both a resonance enabler and an anti-shock mechanism, it maintains perfect harmony between the balances even when exposed to the effects of gravity, wrist motion, or sudden impact — a feat that places it among the most important modern advancements in horology

DUAL CARVINGS OF TIME
The watch features two dials, each transformed into a one-of-a-kind work of art by master watchmaker Juliane Gfeller. Using the centuries-old tremblage technique, she engraves thousands of tiny, overlapping incisions by hand with a burin, creating a richly textured surface that appears to “tremble” in the light. This meticulous, time-intensive process ensures that no two dials are ever alike, making each watch in the series a truly unique creation and a testament to artisanal mastery. Every dial is a triumph of patience and technique: the intricate wire-laying process alone takes over 50 hours, and throughout the multi-stage firing, the enamel is vulnerable to cracking, warping, or discolouration. Fewer than one in ten dials emerge flawlessly. Yet those that do are eternal as cloisonné enamel never fades, and each dial is a truly unique work of art. The Birds & Flowers motif gracing each piece is entirely hand-rendered, capturing the spirit of artistic tradition with breathtaking precision.

OSCILLATION OF NIGHT AND DAY
Positioned on the dial, the blackened steel day/night indicators add both visual contrast and functional clarity. Their deep, dark finish enhances legibility while complementing the warm tones of the gold dials, contributing to the watch’s balanced aesthetic. These indicators not only serve a practical role in tracking time across different zones but also blend seamlessly into the overall design language of the piece.

THE HEART WITHIN
Powering the timepiece is the manual-wind Caliber ARF22, an in-house creation that embodies both technical sophistication and traditional finishing. The movement features a frost gold grenage baseplate and delivers a 42-hour power reserve, with its twin balance wheels prominently displayed at the top of the dial for maximum visual impact. This arrangement creates a sense of symmetry and kinetic artistry, allowing the wearer to witness the resonance mechanism in action. Encased in 39mm of stainless steel with 50m water resistance, the movement is as robust as it is beautiful, reflecting the brand’s commitment to precision, durability, and fine watchmaking.
